Megan Danyelle Fraser-Bennett was born in Boulder, Colorado on August 16th, 1993 to the parents of Lily Bennett and Cristian Fraser, and she passed away on March 25th, 2014; 20 years of age. She graduated from Arapahoe Ridge High School and went onto pursue a degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Megan grew up in a loving home, torn apart by tragedy and what many call “bad luck,” but that never seemed to stop her from wanting a better life. She was an intelligent, humble, and compassionate young woman, who touched the lives of many, if not all of those she had ever come into contact with. With a smile that could light up a room, even during the worst of days, she became hope for all who needed it. I’d hope that when you remember the life that she lived, you remember her passion for helping others, her ability to understand and never judge, and her perseverance to better her life and those around her.
Megan Danyelle Fraser-Bennett is survived by her older brother, Sgt. Colin G. Fraser-Bennett of the U.S. Marines. She is also survived by a group of family, friends, and acquaintances who knew and loved her dearly – Chelsea Lee Fraser (Aunt), Jayson Paul Fraser (Uncle), Jessica Nicollet Fraser (Cousin), Noah Theodore Fraser Gomez (Cousin), Lindsay Taylor Bennett (Aunt), Carol Jo Bennett (Grandmother), and Dana-Joselle K. Prater (Friend).
I would like to ask that if knew Megan, to keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers, but most importantly to honor Megan’s life; in your words, in your actions and in your thoughts. Thank you all for your support and words of endearment as Megan’s family mourns for her loss.
The funeral will take place Saturday, April 12th; 10:30 a.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery (Boulder, Colorado) – burial immediately following.
